The terms that govern your order and our services.
These terms cover ordering sod, scheduling delivery and installation, communications, pricing, and warranties for Covington Sod customers. Effective April 27, 2026.
Terms of Service
Acceptance and scope.
By placing an order with Covington Sod, you agree to these terms and conditions. They cover the sod, delivery, installation, and supporting services offered by Covington Sod, operating from 20496 LA-36, Covington, LA 70433.
- Services described. Covington Sod provides fresh-cut sod by the pallet, sod installation, and weed control services across St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington Parishes in Louisiana, plus Pearl River and Hancock Counties in South Mississippi. Service availability depends on your address, your project size, and current scheduling.
- Pricing and quotes. All prices are quoted in USD and based on current pallet pricing, your specific lot, and current site conditions. Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. Pricing for sod plus installation typically averages $1.00 to $2.00 per square foot. Final invoices reflect actual delivery and installation work performed.
- Orders and minimums. Sod is sold by the pallet with a minimum order. Each pallet covers approximately 450 square feet. Orders are confirmed by phone or in writing once pricing, grass selection, and delivery date are agreed.
- Delivery and scheduling. Delivery windows are based on zone, current schedule, and stock. Order before noon for next-day delivery on stocked grass in Zones 1 and 2. Zones 3 and 4 require 48 to 72 hours of lead time. Weather, road conditions, and harvest timing can shift delivery windows.
- Installation work. Standard installation includes site prep, sod laying, and basic cleanup. Heavy excavation, irrigation work, and major landscaping are not included unless specifically quoted. Site walks before installation flag any work outside the standard scope.
- Cancellation and changes. Orders can be modified or canceled before sod is cut. Once sod is harvested for your order, cancellation may incur a restocking or full-order fee at our discretion. Contact us as soon as possible if your project changes.
- Establishment and warranty. Sod establishment depends on proper watering, soil conditions, and seasonal timing, all of which are outside our control after delivery. We do not warranty sod that is not installed within 24 hours of delivery, not watered per our care recommendations, or installed during freezing conditions. Defective product on arrival should be reported within 24 hours.
- Liability. Covington Sod's liability is limited to the cost of the sod and installation services purchased. We are not responsible for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, lost profits, or third-party claims. Acts of nature, including hurricanes, freezes, droughts, and disease, are outside our control.
- SMS and email communications. If you opt in to SMS communications, message and data rates apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance. Email and SMS opt-in are never required to receive quotes or services. See our privacy policy for full details on communications.
- Intellectual property. Website content, logos, photos, and copy are property of Covington Sod. Do not copy, reproduce, or republish without written permission.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Disputes are resolved in the courts of St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.
- Changes to these terms. Updates to these terms are posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after a change means acceptance of the updated terms.
